Accessibility

Mindward Collective wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with assistive technology.

Our approach

We design and build with recognized accessibility practices in mind, and we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as the reference we work toward. In practice that means paying attention to things like:

• Meaningful text alternatives for images that carry information
• Colour contrast between text and its background
• A logical heading structure on every page
• Keyboard access to navigation, links and form controls, with a visible focus indicator
• Form fields with associated labels, and error messages that explain what to fix
• Layouts that reflow and remain readable when the page is zoomed or viewed on a small screen
• Respecting the operating system’s reduced-motion setting

Where we stand

Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state. We test as we build and we fix issues as we find them, but this website has not been independently audited or certified, and we do not claim that it fully conforms to WCAG at any level or that every page is free of accessibility barriers. Some content — for example third-party embeds or documents — may be less accessible than the rest of the site.

We would rather tell you that plainly than claim a level of conformance we have not verified.

Tell us about a problem

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or you come across something that is not accessible to you, please tell us. It genuinely helps, and we will do what we reasonably can to fix it or to get you the information another way.

Email info@mindwardcollective.com, or use our contact page. It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using — but please get in touch even if you cannot.

We aim to respond to accessibility reports promptly, and to let you know what we intend to do about the issue you raise.

Accessibility in our client work

Accessibility is also part of what we advise on for the healthcare organizations we work with, where reaching people with disabilities is not only good practice but often a legal expectation.
